Tula (Russia): Seminar with Patrick Sanson - Clinical psychopedagogy as a means to help

May 2010 - This 4 day seminar held from May 11, 2010 to May 15, 2010 united 150 professionals working with autistic children and others facing serious communication difficulties.

This seminar was hosted in Tula by the Valeocentre, Malenkaya Strana and the Bice, three organizations acting on different levels for children with disabilities' rights.

In this region, aid is often insufficient for children with severe communication disabilities and children do not systematically receive adequate care. As Sanson's methods and support have already led to real changes meant to increase and improve the aid for autistic children in Russia, a new seminar addressing adequate care and communication programs appeared as particularly accurate.

The seminar mainly focused on clinical psychopedagogy, physical therapy, art-therapy, occupational therapy and language programs.

The next seminar on autistic children's accompaniment and care will be held in Tbilisi (Georgia) in September 2010.
