A testimony on disabled children in Russia by Olga Erokhina
In Russia, children with multidisabilities were long regarded as uneducable. Today, most of them are still institutionalized from their earliest years in state-run orphanages in which they do not receive adequate care or treatment. |

As part of the project "Humanization and Opening of Orphanages for disabled Children in Russia", the Regional Delegation for Europe and CIS published a handbook entitled "Ideas and methods for the Rehabilitation of a department for children with PIMD : The Sergyev Possad orphanage experiment 2006-2008". |

Meeting in Paris for 2 Russian partners, at the occasion of Bice General Assembly in june 2008
At the occasion of Bice General Assembly in Paris the 4th and 5th June 2008, the Regional Delegation for Europe & CIS organises for 2 of its Russian partners several meetings on 3rd, 5th and 6th June on the topics ‘Taking care of children and adolescents with addictions' and ‘Autistic children'.

Third seminar on ‘Grain of Sand’ and ‘PTA’ (Parents-Teachers-Association) in Baku, Azerbaijan in April 2008
From 22 to 25 April 2008 the third seminar in the framework of the project "Prevention of sexual abuse and assistance to sexually abused children in CIS and Latvia" took place in Baku, Azerbaijan. The seminar was dedicated to ‘Grain of Sand', a method of prevention developed by the French organisation ALC, and ‘PTA' (Parents-Teachers-Association) developed by the Azeri partner ‘Reliable Future'.
